January1997 to April 1997: Awarded the Australian International Educational Foundation Fellowship to Visit Australian Universities in 1996. This was through an open All- India Competition. Visited 17 Australian Universities and researched their Australian Studies courses
October 1999 to January 2000: AIC Research Grant to study Australian Literature at Universities of Wollongong and Melbourne.
July 2001 visited Canberra, Melbourne and Brisbane to attend Conferences on Australian and Commonwealth studies.
